About

Marissa Barnhart is a copy editor and writer with a passion for the finer things in life. And by that, she means kindness, equality and a world unriddled with fear.

She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Magazine Journalism and minor in Writing, in which she focused on poetry and narrative writing. During her four years at Kent State, she fell in love with editing and magazine production, and she worked as a writer and copy editor. She eventually was hired as editor-in-chief of The Burr Magazine, where she developed and executed a relaunch for the publication’s logo, brand, mission and website.

Since graduating, she has freelance edited for businesses such as TechieSense.com, PandaGossips.com and Quora.com. She’s currently a marketing intern for Roundtable Learning.

Marissa runs an Etsy shop in her spare time. She loves to knit, paint and craft. Check out EMbyMarissa for an ounce of handmade love.
